The True Amarr are the direct descendants of an ethnic group that conquered all of the civilizations on their home world of Amarr Prime. They are proud and supercilious, with a great sense of tradition and ancestry, though they are considered to be arrogant and tyrannical by most others outside the Amarr Empire. However, the Empire's defeat at the hands of the mysterious Jove during the Amarr-Jove War, and the lost of many of their Minmatar slaves during the Minmatar Rebellion, has left an undeniable mark on Amarr culture. The double failure was a turning point in their history, which has shaped an entire generation of policy and philosophy among the elite of Amarr society. ==Racial Traits== True Amarr males tend to be condescending towards those without faith, and possess a belief in their own superiority. Although a clear hindrance to conducting international trade and business, it still affords them with fortitude and a great sense of purpose. Capable of bringing unwavering focus to bear on issues, they are outstanding planners, and their composure gives them the ability to see their plans come to fruition. True Amarr females tend to be class-conscious and formal in their dealings with others. Masters of subterfuge and machination, they forgive little and forget nothing. They are natural matriarchs who are fiercely protective of their loved ones and obsessed with preserving the integrity of their family's name. For the Amarr female, the family bond is sacred and unbreakable, persisting across generations. ==Occupation== ===Religious Reclaimers=== Many True Amarr still dream of the glory days of the Amarr Empire, when it seemed that no power in New Eden could defy their will. They particularly against the new policies of the recent regimes, regarding them as weak and counters everything the Empire has stood for. ===Liberal Holders=== Holders, the major landholding class in Amarr society, are generally conservative traditionalists. A few, however, have been elected to break ranks from their traditional bounds and powers, instead supporting the modernization of their society's religion and substantial economic reform. Their champion is Catiz Tash-Murkon, an Udorian, of the Tash-Murkon Family. ===Wealthy Commoners=== Some commoners are lucky enough to manage to break free of Amarr society's rigid class divisions and carve out an elevated niche for themselves, usually through trade or other business activities. Though they can never obtain a political position within the Empire, they are free to secure vast amounts of wealth, along with a measure of power and influence, through interstellar trade.
